About Lisa

Lisa is a Connecticut native who received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration and Graphic Design. After graduation Lisa traveled throughout Europe to research and observe the work of prominent European painters and awe inspiring works of art. “I have been drawing and painting since I could hold a paintbrush. Art has always been a form of communication and a connection to my inner voice. My travels have stimulated my creativity and guided my artistic influence. My artistic journey is ever evolving and is a constant exploration of ideas and techniques. My current direction is highly inspired by art movements such as minimalism and abstract expressionism. I am focused on composition studies exploring principles and elements such as balance, contrast, shape and texture. Mark making and spontaneous gestural brushstrokes make up the primary layers of my work which serve as a meditative release of energies. These expressive beginnings can still be felt and sometimes observed in the final minimalist composition. All in all, I hope to offer the viewer an intentionally simplified form of beauty.”

Bagley’s art has been part of multiple group and juried exhibitions. Her original pieces collected locally, nationally and internationally.
