Sophia Paleotheodoros

"The innovative and electric energy within the abstract work of Montreal artist, Sophia Paleotheodoros caught our eye and we understood immediately that she needed to be a part of the KCFA family. Her canvases are bold and expressive and her application of resin gives the physical appearance that water has been suspended in time. Sophia transforms her canvases into abstract compositions that feel “Other Worldly” as you look at her art, you feel as though you’ve been catapulted into a spaceship and delivered to a magical galaxy of glittering stars, unearthly colors and new dimensions."

About Paleotheodoros

Sophia Paleotheodoros style is defined by her stunning and unique artwork that adds dimension to any environment or space.  Abstract art uses a visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition. Artistic creativity bursts forth in every piece adorned with the Sophia Paleotheodoros signature.

"My style as an abstract artist has taken years to develop. I think it's impetus began when I inaugurated a successful "faux fini" company in Montreal called, Sophia Décor, that specialized in textured wall finishes, wall applications and murals. My inspiration lies in such artists as Pierre-Paul Rubins for his dark, deep colors and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's wild burlesque offerings. After decades of adorning the walls of restaurants, bars, hotels and residential homes, I finally devoted my time and creative energy to my fine art career and I never stopped!"

"My art exudes "Pure Expressionism" utilizing bold, active line, color and textures to create images that tantalize and intrigue the viewer. I get very inspired by my clients. They all have unique ideas of what they would like to see and often when I deliver a commissioned piece, just the look on their face filled with joy is enough inspiration for me. Versatility is an incredibly important asset as an artist and I'm always striving to try new concepts and push boundaries "
